A Lover's Bed

I slept in your bed while you were away
Silent between the sheets where your body laid
And through the distance I heard a door moan
Your voice clear, words undecipherable
Without motion, a feeling of weight, warmth
An exclamation, pressed hard against my leg
Over my hair, your lips on the back of my neck
Breath on my shoulders, and in my mind
I slowly exhaled -- it feels good
Whispered from my dreams to your ears
